Kentucky Speedway 2009

Thank you for visiting our events page. In the past, kettle korn has widely been associated with carnivals and fairs, as we so often hear, "are you the ones that do the kettle korn at the state fair?" We however have a very different philosophy on kettle korn. Although we participate in a multitude of local festivals within the Bluegrass Region, we have staked our claim within the sports industry. We pride ourselves in the fact that we have nearly single-handedly brought soccer tournaments of all levels to become so familiar with our kettle korn that most say "it would not be a soccer tournament without kettle korn." Along with the soccer, we have been the exclusive kettle korn for the football, baseball, girls basketball, gymnastics and softball programs at the University of Kentucky since 2003. Wildcats everywhere know Bluegrass Kettle Masters! We are also very proud to be the exclusive kettle korn for the Lexington Legends which is located within one of the most beautiful ballparks in minor league baseball, Applebees Park. And so as not to forget about racing fans, the Kentucky Speedway in Sparta Kentucky was proud to introduce Bluegrass Kettle Masters for the first time in 2009. We owe a deep gratitude to the great food service companies like Sodexho, Aramark, Levy Restaurants, and Centerplate for working with us to bring these high profile events into our schedules.

Along with these events mentioned above, we also do a variety of ongoing events such as summer concert series, outdoor movies at the park, and a weekly artist market. For the concert series, we are in our second season at beautiful Elk Creek Vineyards, Kentucky's largest Winery. We also have the great privilege of working with the Downtown Lexington corporation at Thursday Night Live, and The Artist Market. Both are located in Cheapside Park by the old courthouse in downtown Lexington. The Artist Market runs from June through August and the times are 8AM - 2PM. Thursday Night Live is an outdoor concert series that runs from May through October and the times are 4:30 PM - 8 PM. Free Friday Night Flix is another event we do through the Lexington Parks and Recreations Department. This is a FREE Movie night at Jacobson Park in Lexington that runs the first 5 Fridays beginning in June. Patrons usually begin arriving at 6 PM.
